The purpose of the CalHome Program is to enable low income housholds to become homeowners or improve the safety of their homes. These Grants are provided to local public agencies and nonprofit developers to assist individual households through deferred-payment loans.  Grants are awarded through a competitive process after the issuance of a Notice Of Funding Availability (NOFAs).  The County of Santa Cruz has been awarded the following CalHome Grants:

  

 

CalHome– Mortgage Assistance Program --  Applications are not being accepted at this time, please check back for future funding availability

 

The County of Santa Cruz administers the State of California’s CalHome Mortgage Assistance Program.  The CalHome Program provides a down payment loan of up to $56,400 to income eligible purchasers towards the purchase of a condominium, town home, or single-family residence in the unincorporated areas of Santa Cruz County.  CalHome funds are limited and will be allocated on a “first come, first serve basis”.

CalHome– Manufactured Home Replacement Program - Currently Inactive

 

The County of Santa Cruz administers the State of California’s CalHome Manufactured Home Replacement Program.  The CalHome Program provides financial subsidy of up to $54,600 to income eligible mobile homeowners living in our preapproved mobile home parks to replace their older mobile home with a new manufactured home in the unincorporated areas of the County.  CalHome funds are limited and will be allocated on a “first come, first serve basis”.
