Environmental & Resource Protection
Restoration

The Santa Cruz Countywide Permit Coordination Program was developed by the Resource Conservation District of Santa Cruz County (RCD) and the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), in partnership with Sustainable Conservation, a nonprofit environmental organization. The RCD assists private property owners in completing environmentally beneficial conservation projects that require permits from multiple agencies. These programs and projects are related to Wildlife, Soil, Water, Fire, and Climate. The program provides "one-stop regulatory shopping" for landowners interested in implementing voluntary conservation projects on their lands, thereby removing the time, cost, and complexity of individual project review.

The reulatory agencies' permits have already been issued, so meeting your restoration and erosion control goals can be accomplished faster and more cost-effectively than getting the permits on your own. Contact the RCD staff at the office in Capitola (820 Bay Ave, Suie 136) or call at (831)464-2950 to find out if your project might qualify for the program.
